The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) announced the approval of wage increase for workers in private sectors in CALABARZON on Monday 19 September 2024. The Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board (RTWPB) IV-A granted the increase ranging from P21 to P75 per day.
The new increase to the minimum wage will take effect on 30 September 2024 for the First tranche, five (5) days after the anniversary of previous wage adjustment last year. The Second tranche for certain areas will take effect on 01 April 2025.
The wage order was made in response to the directive of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s on Labor Day, which order RTWPB’s to review the regional minimum wage rates prior to its anniversary dates of previous wage increase.
The last wage order for workers in private sectors in Calabarzon became effective on 24 September 2023.
